Returns and Refunds
Last updated: October 2026
1. Current status
Silvermere is not yet trading, so no purchases can currently be made and no returns are required. This policy describes how returns and refunds will work once trading begins, in line with UK consumer law.
2. Your 14-day right to cancel (online purchases)
If you are a consumer buying online, you will normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, for any reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013:
- To cancel, tell us clearly (by email to accounts@silvermerecommerce.co.uk) within the 14-day period.
- You then have a further 14 days to return the goods. You are responsible for the direct cost of returning them unless they are faulty or not as described.
- We will refund the purchase price plus the standard delivery cost within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or of your providing proof of return).
- We may reduce the refund if goods have been handled beyond what was necessary to inspect them.
3. Collectible products and sealing
We do not claim that collectible or graded products are automatically exempt from statutory cancellation rights. However, where the law provides it, the right to cancel can be lost for sealed goods that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene once unsealed, and the value deduction rules above can apply to goods (including sealed collectibles) that have been opened or handled beyond inspection. Each case will be handled lawfully and fairly — if you are unsure, contact us before opening.
4. Faulty or misdescribed goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose:
- Within 30 days of delivery: if goods are faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a full refund (the "short-term right to reject").
- After 30 days and within 6 months: we will offer a repair or replacement; if that is not possible or fails, you are entitled to a refund.
- These rights apply in addition to — and are not replaced by — the 14-day cancellation right.
5. How to return
- Email accounts@silvermerecommerce.co.uk with your order number and reason.
- We will confirm the return address and any instructions (graded items must be returned in their original encapsulation; sealed items must remain sealed if you wish to rely on cancellation).
- Use a tracked service — you are responsible for the goods until they reach us.
6. Business customers
Business-to-business purchases are subject to the terms agreed on the invoice; statutory consumer rights do not apply to purchases made wholly for business purposes.
